Job Description

As a Digital workplace engineer, our client is looking for someone who can, Advance, Promote, and Support internal staff collaboration tools, their adoption & use, and related best practices for the clients employees.

Technical Skills:
  • System administrator background and temperament
  • Apps/Services – Solid background with: The M365 Suite (Teams – Including Teams Phone, OneDrive, SharePoint, Power Automate, Office, Stream, etc.), Zoom, Conference room A/V, and other collaboration technologies.
  • Virtual PCs – including AWS Workspaces and Windows 365 PCs
  • Integration of the above with other internal technologies
  • Prepare Guides, Tips/Tricks, Support Procedures, and other documentation.
    • Collaboration & Partnership with the enterprise as a whole – actively engage with the following:
  • Advise and support informal business initiatives and associated business technical resources (Bookings example?)
  • Work with other IS staff focused on internal collaboration.
  • Participate in Official Projects
  • Support the Collaboration CoE – coordination, liaison, guidance, governance.
  • Overall - Build trust and maintain a mindset of “best practice” rather than “one-off/competing solutions.”
 Leadership Capabilities:
  • Influencing without authority
  • Leading cross-functional teams (quasi project management role)
  • Facilitate Organizational Change Management – awareness, communication, etc.
Administrative Skills:
  • Monitor and track roadmap and change notices from Microsoft and other collaboration technology vendors.
  • Communicate and inform relevant staff on implications and timeframes of any upcoming changes that impact the organization.
  • Technical change management associated with updating/evolving collaboration tools and services.
  • Periodic analysis of licensing, configuration, and use of collaboration tools and services.
